We work closely with our partners and community to curate a showcase of design from talented individuals and organisations that inspires, educates and entertains.
Circleg stands for a new narrative around prosthetic care that enables accessible, high-quality and empowering solutions for amputees.
Creative DNA by the British Council shares and supports alternative, responsible and innovative approaches to the global fashion system. It centres on a contemporary exploration of Kenya’s fashion value chain, through research, creative enterprise and storytelling.
At the core of their installation at Nairobi Design Week 2024 are works by 18 local fashion designers, who have undergone a rigorous three-month incubator programme led by esteemed figures in the industry.
Partners such as Silvia Tonui, Founder of Trio Media, Ann McCreath, founder of Kikiromeo, alongside UK-based experts Biljana and Martyn Roberts, founder of Fashion Scout, guide participants through a transformative journey of skill development, knowledge enhancement, and global networking.

Ananse Africa partners with Nairobi Design to showcase African designer talent. Through their digital platform and e-commerce marketplace, Ananse connects designers with global audiences, emphasizing their unique stories.
At NDW2024, Ananse will be showcasing products from their platform's designers. Join Ananse at NDW2024 to celebrate African creativity and entrepreneurship.
An installation by Njogu Kuria, exploring recycled rubber as a medium in sculpting, similar to clay or wood among other applications. His works explore techniques in manipulating and compositionally crafting recycled rubber into different forms.
Microsoft plugs into Nairobi Design Week as a trendsetter in product and tech design globally. Guests will experience the practical use of responsible AI in today’s evolving World using products such as Co-pilot and Bing-chat. Do not miss the creative exploration experiences lined up by the Microsoft Garage.
Opportunity Factory x GIZ explores Sandstorm Kenya’s work with over 300 women from Taita Taveta, Lamu, Machakos, Kitui, Kajiado & Nairobi counties. They work in supporting national artisan manufacturers by improving their production processes to facilitate their access to new markets. Opportunity Factory hosts local makers' studios, including Nakshi Glass, ENN Ceramics, Africa Collect Textiles, Dragonfly Screenprinting, CoolCatsClub.
The Made by Kenya store hosts local brands including Kazuri, Jabali, Greenthing Kenya and Sandstorm Kenya. Several selected exhibits will be made available to the public at Opportunity Factory for an extended period after the festival.
Content house is a collective of filmmakers, artists, and writers dedicated to producing and distributing content on underrepresented topics of public interest.
Through the Turkana Artists Xchange and most recently the musical group Turkana Sessions, Content House has showcased the beauty and talent of Turkana County to audiences across the world. Their exhibition at #NDW2024 will bring stories from Turkana, shared through vibrant photography, and artifacts.
Artist Ninah Tanya created a mural at Nairobi Design Week 2024 to raise awareness about femicide and for the visitors to stand in solidarity with victims. The mural serves as a way to remember those silenced by violence and advocate for women's empowerment in Kenya.
What Design Can Do (WDCD) looked into redesigning the future, by engaging the creative community to join the Redesign Everything Challenge. In partnership with IKEA Foundation, the 5th climate action challenge by WDCD seeks to explore creative solutions in Kenya addressing the climate crisis. Last year's challenge attracted more entries from Kenya than any other country.

Information is power. A series of workshops will be held during the festival that will have experts engaging and sharing their knowledge with the community; in a space called the ‘BARAZA’ . Bring your thinking and talking caps!
Design is for everyone. Makers will exhibit their work and interact with attendees whilst in their craft. We look forward to showcasing all works by artisans and creatives signed up to be part of the Nairobi Design Week 2024; as well as have attendees organically participate in the creation process.
