The vibrant and innovative atmosphere of the WDCD ReDesign Everything Challenge workshop captivated the minds of 24 participants and was held at Westlands, Nairobi during the Occupy the Mall Festival.
The workshop brought together a diverse group of individuals primarily from the product design and circular economy sectors. Nairobi Design team presented a research paper exploring Kenya's innovations case studies on climate urgencies and opportunities in design, additionally, we opened registrations for next year's challenge, inviting participants to be part of the ongoing dialogue and solution-seeking journey.
About WDCD 5th Climate Challenge
In January 2024, What Design Can Do- will launch the fifth Climate Action Challenge in partnership with the IKEA Foundation. With this global design competition, WDCD are seeking bold, circular solutions to address the climate crisis and unlock new pathways for systemic change.
Winning design teams will access an acceleration programme, receive 5000€ fund and access the connections, resources, and skills to help their design solution thrive.
