This workshop is designed to provide participants with practical experience and comprehensive knowledge in the field of rammed earth & sustainable construction.

Objectives:

➡️Explore the principles of sustainable architecture and how to incorporate them into your designs.

➡️Understand the principles and methods of rammed earth construction, including material selection, compaction technologies, and curing processes.

➡️Work in teams to design and build a functional structure, which will serve as a Mess, Lounge, and Craft Shop at Kasigau BaseCamp, enhancing your teamwork and project management skills.

The two-week immersive workshop on rammed Earth technologies and other sustainable building practices will combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience. Throughout the workshop, participants will engage with expert guest speakers, participate in practical construction activities, and explore innovative techniques in sustainable building.

📅 Daily Schedule:

🔹 Everyday is a Full-day sessions except for Sundays (day off).

Morning session: 8:00 am - 10:30 am

Tea break: 10:30 am - 11:00 am

2nd Morning session: 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Afternoon session: 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Evenings: Relax and enjoy a campfire and dinner under the stars.
